Pricing and everything else
I am an on-location maternity / infant / toddler / children / family photographer servicing the Chicagoland area. I create images for you to share with those you love the most.
What does on-location mean? It means I come to you - whether that be your home, friend’s home, a park, beach, etc. If you are planning a session with your infant or toddler, a home based session may be the best. Children at that age feel most comfortable while at home, and this will show in their pictures being more relaxed and natural. Sessions done outdoors are best close to sunrise or sunset, so keep that timing in mind. And don’t fret - we can always work together in choosing which location is ideal for you.
I specialize in contemporary portraits, so absolutely nothing like a portrait studio you find in your local shopping mall. While maternity and infant sessions will most likely be posed images, I enjoy letting toddlers and children do their own thing and capture them in the moment.
Portrait session fees are $250. This is a flat fee with no changes based upon the type of pictures or time of day. Weekends and weekdays cost the same!
What you get.
- Fees cover the cost of creative time, editing, retouching, and a private online gallery of approximately 30 images to share with those you choose and love.
- Also included is a CD of the edited images from the gallery, accompanied with a ‘Permission to Print’ agreement. This will allow you to take the images to your favorite print shop and have them create prints for you. All images will be a JPEG at 11x17 size. Additional CDs can be purchased.
- Sessions generally last between one and three hours but are never rushed. The session ends when it feels finished and all parties involved feel everything has been accomplished.
1/2 the session fee is due at time of booking to secure a date, with the remainder due the day of the session. Due to the custom nature of photography all sales are final. Jil McKinney retains copyright of all creations and may use the images as seen fit.
